The Eighth New Member Congress of China Rubber Industry Association Hose Belt Branch and Hose Belt Information and Technology Forum 2013 were opened at Grand Metropark Hotel in Chongqing City on Sept. 25-28. Our company chairman Mr. Shen Gengliang attended the congress.

At the congress, work statement of the eighth council of hose belt branch was firstly made, and then confirmed the approval of the eight new president unit, vice president unit, president and vice president. Our company is elected as vice president unit. Meanwhile, the congress issued medals to each Top Ten enterprises of conveyor belt, hose and belt in 2012-2013, and Double Arrow was granted as Top Ten Conveyor Belt Enterprises again.

Hose Belt Information and Technology Forum 2013 analyzed the economic condition of China hose belt industry. China hose belt industry had faced severe situations and challenges in 2013. From the international perspective, the impact of the financial crisis is a long-term trend, the world economic recovery is weak, and the external demand market has a limited effect on the development of the industry. At the same time, it faced more technical barriers and trade frictions. From the domestic perspective, although the economy is still in an important period of strategic opportunities, but coal, steel, building materials and other hose and belt main downstream industries showed different degree of downturn, industry downside pressure is big. At the same time, structural overcapacity, low level of product structure and insufficient technological innovation of hose belt industry will directly affect the quality and benefit of the industry growth, hose belt industry faces the hard task of transformation and upgrading.

The theme of this forum is optimization upgrading, technological innovation and green development. Focus on green development as an opportunity to increase technological innovation, adjust the product structure, optimize the upgrade, improve the level of technology and promote the hose belt industry to achieve a sustainable growth of high quality and high efficiency.
